Akela Jones shines during a strong week of competition as D2 Athletes Shine

Devon Allen Oregon - He won the 110m hurdles at Oregon Relays in 13.48, breaking Ashton Eaton's meet record. He also won the 400m hurdles in 51.32, the 200m in a pr 20.68, and helped the Oregon relay team to a win in 40.18.

Hannah Cunliffe Oregon - She was second to former Duck Jenna Prandini in the Invitational 100m at the Mt. SAC relays after running a wind-legal 10.99. She then finished second to teammate Deajah Stevens (22.61) to move to fourth on the collegiate list with a 22.71 run. She was the third leg on the collegiate leading 4x100m relay in 42.68. 

Kaela Edwards Oklahoma State - She beat Raevyn Rogers of Oregon on the way to second at the Mt. SAC Relays. She ran a collegiate leading 2:01.97 and Rogers moved to third on the collegiate list in 2:02.81.

Sidney Gidabuday Adams State - He was the top collegian at the Mt. SAC relays after running a D2 leading 13:36.83.

Akela Jones Kansas State - Akela scored the 6th most points in collegiate history for the Heptathlon at the Mt. SAC Relays/California Invitational Multi Events after scoring 6307 points and in the process jumped a collegiate leading 6-4 3/4 in the high jump

Cindy Ofili Michigan - She won the 100m hurdles in 12.66, close to her pr, to take the collegiate lead.

Khallifa Rosser CS LA - He won the Mt. SAC Relays in 49.27 for the 400m hurdles to take the overall collegiate lead and the NCAA D2 lead.

Eliud Rutto Middle Tennessee State - He was second at the Mt. SAC Relays 800m in 1:45.59 and moved to second on the collegiate list.

Nicholas Scarvelis UCLA - In the UCLA vs Texas A&M dual he threw a pr 67-0 to take the collegiate lead in the shot put.
