USATF Launches 2020 Masters Virtual Fall Challenge Presented by HTWO - USATF

INDIANAPOLIS - USA Track & Field (USATF), in conjunction with AthleticNET, is excited to announce the USATF Masters Virtual Fall Challenge presented by HTWO. The Challenge will run October 19 - November 16, 2020, with the goal to provide Masters athletes ages 25+ the opportunity to experience challenges in spite of the global pandemic altering the originally-scheduled fall season.
Registration opens Monday, October 19 and athletes may sign up for an unlimited number of events in their five-year age group. Registration costs $10 for USATF members and $20 for non-members. USATF member registrants will receive a virtual bib to wear while participating and all finishers will receive a certificate upon completion of the challenge.
Contested events include men’s and women’s:
Track: 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, Mile, 5000m, 10,000m, 1 Mile Race walk, 5000m Race walk, 10,000m Race walk, Pentathlon (200m, 1500m, long jump, javelin and discus)
Field: Long Jump, Standing Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus, Javelin, Hammer Throw, Weight Throw, Superweight Throw, Pentathlon, Throws Pentathlon
All events must take place during the submission window of October 19 - November 16, 2020. Events should be selected based on the individual athlete's ability to safely participate while still following all Local, State and National laws and guidelines.
How Participation Works:
Registered athletes will submit evidence of their times/marks via the AthleticNET mobile app for review and verification. Please click here for a video with instructions. Once verified, entries into the challenge will be posted on Athletic.net and athletes may share their results on social media with friends and teammates using the hashtag #USATFMasters.
