Ryan Bailey (FR, Chemeketa) men’s 100 and 200 winner

“I’m pretty happy with my time because this was the first time I broke 10.3. It’s fun being out here with all the different levels of competition.”

“Everything in the 200 went well. I could have had a better start, but it was the first time I broke 21 seconds.”

“I never have a great start, so if I can get that down then I’ll be where I want to be.”

“This year my goal is to make it to the world juniors as well as being here for the trials. I’ll probably pick the world juniors over the trials because they, unless I’m in the finals or on a relay for the trials. My goals right now are to make a relay and be ready to make the 2012 Olympics.”

Jamesha Youngblood (UO) women's 200 meter runner

On running her first 200

“I think I’m going to try and continue this and see what happens. I felt really strong running, and next meet I’m looking to run even faster.”

Mandy White (UO) women’s 200 meter winner

“We have been doing a lot of heavy lifting right now, so once we calm down I see my times only getting faster.”

Matt Scherer (Oregon Track Club) men’s 800 meter winner

“This race was a season best time for me. I felt really good about how it went physically.”

“I may have moved a little too much in the backstretch, but I still feel really strong about the race.”

“Last week I felt horrible after the race; I just wasn’t in it. This week was the complete opposite. I feel like I’m home again.”

“I’m ready to run fast, really fast. My speed training this year is leaps and bounds ahead of last year.”
